JHi there! We are James and Abby Skinner, the childrens ministry leaders at Beacon Baptist. We both have a heart for the ministry of family and believe that a child’s faith grows in the home. We believe that the purpose of children's ministry is to partner with parents to help support and grow their child’s faith and relationship with God.

Kingdom Kids currently meets at 9:30 on Sundays, during our Sunday School Hour. Check in your kiddos and join in to one of our Sunday Study Groups!

We at Beacon Baptist believe in the blessing of participating in the Sunday Morning Service together as a family and, therefore, do not have children's classes during our 10:30 serivce.

We believe that the purpose of children's ministry is to partner with parents to help support and grow their child’s faith and relationship with God.

With this goal in mind we use take home sheets or Boomerangs! Why is it called a boomerang because“it comes back”!

Our hope is that Boomerangs will foster communication between kids and their parents about their faith. Some of the journal prompts included are a little more advanced and it is our hope that it will open opputunity for your kiddo to ask for help and in turn create room for Christ centered conversation and a deeper spiritual growth for both parents and their kiddos.
